According to this article in USA Today, corks are “A- Poppin”! Environmentally friendly, sustainable and now seen in home furnishings of all types. Now I know what to do with those corks I’ve collected over the years.
Cork Stools by Jasper Morison
These stools still look like corks. This material reminds me of something from my child hood but I can’t put my finger on it. Here’s a close up, I think it is the texture that rubs me the wrong way as a candidate for serious home furnishings.
The curved chair below, another Gabriel Wiese invention; is nice. I bet it’s comfortable too.
And the “piece-de-la-resistance”, for the absolute cork lover…
All I can say is “WOW”.

It says on his site that he creates these pieces using a steel infrastructure and a cork verneer.
