It’s amazing how much nicer a store owner is when you walk in calmly, explain who you are, and ask politely if you can take pictures. I’m not going to bore you with the details, but last time I went into Elemento I had a husband and two sleeping children waiting for me in the car.
Oh, and this time I remembered my camera.
Yossi is the owner. He designs all of the furniture but imports the accessories. He has a definitive style, which I like. It’s very retro MCM chic mixed with current comforts for a very up to date and urban feel. Does that make sense?
If it doesn’t – just look at the pics. G-d knows I took enough of them (this may turn out to be more than one post)…
The nice thing about Yossi designing all of the furniture is that you can have the pieces custom built to fit your needs. Have a small empty nook? Need a place to work?
I loved this chair. The lines are classic, but the wheels add something unusual and unexpected.
These are such the modern version of a very old-school Israeli chair. For those who hate the idea of buying something sat on by someone else, but love the look, this is the way to go. (Do I know anyone out there like that? Would I be writing it if I didn’t?)
So pretty, so impractical. It just screams, ‘Kids, put your filthy hands here!’
The store is filled to the brim with amazing tchochkes. This will be mine next time I go to Tel Aviv. I have no idea why I didn’t buy it when I was in the store on Friday. I haven’t been able to get it out of my mind since and my hallway is begging for it.
Elemento carries furniture for the entire home, rugs, lamps, handles and bars for the bathroom and kitchen, and I’m sure there’s more that I’m missing. It’s located in a great area of Rothschild (not too far from Sheinkin) and the store is big. Definitely a must see your next time in Tel Aviv.

Ruth,
We aren’t Elemento. We’re just a blog writing about Elemento. If you want to know about the store you need to contact Yossi @ Elemento (or go there – it’s on Rothschild near Sheinkin in Tel Aviv).
