Badosa makes sofas, chairs, and anything else you need upholstered. He makes them quickly, at an acceptable level of quality (he is not Roche Bobois – but he doesn’t pretend to be either). I can personally recommend his work, because I’m sitting on it right now while typing this post.
See that rather ugly colored sofa below? That’s my sofa – only I changed the color and the shape of the back cushions. I would also recommend getting the trim all the way around the back cushions (as shown it’s only on the top and sides – having it on the bottom as well looks more finished).
Badosa is one of the smaller sofa stores on Hertzl street in Tel Aviv (69 Hertzl to be exact). He can make things in any shape and has all of the same fabrics that the other stores carry.
You can also choose from a selection of specialty fabrics. Perfect for making a statement in a space.
I saw a lot of chintz while walking on Hertzl last week. There’s a definite trend in that direction – also for more traditional shapes, like this armchair and footstool.
After 2 years the only complaint I have about our sofas are the legs. The Boys have bashed them a few times and the stain has come off where they have been hit. This is not a major complaint.
Did I mention that I got them in 3 days? Reliable, honest, and fast – definitely worth a look if you need some new sofas. And if you go in – tell him the American from Zichron says ‘Hi’.

nice furniture.
That ugly yellow is the color of my kitchen cabinets which I haven’t gotten around to painting yet.
That might not be so bad on a kitchen cabinet – but I don’t like it with the hot pink cushions. Take pictures and send them to me! I wanna see your cabinets before and after!
Hey Shira,
I used to own a furniture store and we had special “touch up markers” for wood. I don’t know if you can find them here, but if you can they work like a charm to make those dings disappear. or you can wait until the kids grow up and do it then!

i often attack my furniture dings with some matching shoe polish…
