One of the highlights of my Chicago trip was trekking through the rain to the Jonathan Adler shop on North Wabash, where I picked up a couple of vases from the colorful new Lacquer collection, as well as some coordinating Lozenge plates from the Okura tabletop collection.
This past weekend, after deciding that I really should have gotten a set of the lacquered coasters, I moseyed over to the designer’s Web site to do a bit more shopping, where I noticed a new link in the menu—“Punctuate Your PDA.” Curious, I clicked, only to discover a fantastic little selection of Adler’s most popular life-size wallpaper patterns transformed into wallpapers for the iPhone, Palm Pre, Blackberry Bold, Blackberry Curve and Blackberry Pearl!
When I downloaded the Greek key design for my iPhone (above), I also got six other wallpaper-sized images, including vignettes of the Lacquer collection, and some cute shots of Adler himself. But it seems none of the other wallpapers have any hidden bonuses, other than making your smart phone a little more fabulous, of course.
