I snapped this photo at the Solomon R Guggenheim Museum in New York City this summer. The color was what initially caught my eye, but the number of framed photos blew my mind! This is the cafeteria on the main floor of the museum. Not only is it a crowded, chaotic public space that is full of it’s own energy, the red walls and the overabundance of artwork is decorator overkill.
There are many ways to hang multiple photos and have it look fantastic. The room above would benefit from a continious row of these photos hung one foot below the row of round windows. Hung this way, the photos would draw attention to the architectural details in the room while making the room seem larger instead of cramped as it appears in the photo above.

Frames in numbers
the bottom photo is great! i love how the archway frames the collection.
Hi Nikki,
I love the frames in the archway too. The master of groupings is Martha Stweart, but I couldn’t find any examples from her for this post… maybe you have something for me?
Patti
sorry… i googled a few things but got nothin’. surprising though because the subject comes across my screen every so often with really artful examples but now when i want it, can’t find it.
Thanks for trying Nikki, much appreciated.
Nice collections of pics and clustering them is great.
