Building Facade on Ben Yehuda
Apartment building or bunker? This was my first thought when I saw this building facade on Ben Yehuda Street in Tel Aviv. On one hand it is kind of quirky and creatively cool, and on the other hand it is extremely confining… I did see a woman looking out from behind one of the”jail like” lattice squares when I took this photo.

The technique used here is referred to as “Fiber Cement Lattice“. This material allows for a strong, durable end product that can withstand the harsh elements of nature while offering a decorative touch…. or not!
If you are wondering how you would use this application, wonder no further. Many out door spaces call for dividers that are more durable than traditional wood lattice, typically used in garden design.

These are wood, but I can easily see translating these into designs for Fiber Cement Lattice.
