Glass Tile
There are many different ways to accent a room aside form the wall color. Adding texture with items like glass tile, natural stained woods in funky colors that accent the grain or patterned linoleum are all ways to make a splash. Every room calls for a unique solution so put on your thinking cap and go to town. The glass tiles shown above would not have the same effect in a muted color, see the tiles below. Color plays an important role when paired with texture. The deeper the color, the richer the texture and that is that.

Texture and Color Tips:
1) Keep it simple, where there is texture, there is surface interest… no need to over-emphasize.
2) Choose textures that you love. Remember the days of stucco (yucco)?!
3) A little dab will do you, don’t over do it.
