Neutrals are the magic word when it comes to color. There are hundreds of lovely whites, taupe’s, beige’s and tans to choose from and this is what makes neutral colors the challenge that they are to work with.
An all white environment can become unnerving after time, it is best to inject a bit of color in one way or another. Color can be added to neutrals with the following tips.
* Inject neutral throughout a room by using a variety of materials. Dark woodwork, flooring and contrasting furniture will add harmony and balance.
* Utilize neutral as a backdrop for a bright colored accent. The neutral will provide the necessary contrast to make that color pop.
* Use pattern and texture when working with neutrals to make them come alive.
* Take a cue from the photo above and add an interesting wall unit to an all white room. Not only does this ground the space it adds interest and storage at the same time.
