Ceramic Tiles by Leah Sheves
Shlush Shloshim is a contemporary ceramics gallery in Neve Tzedek, Tel Aviv. I must have walked past this place ten times but have never gone in. You really can’t miss the bright mosaic walls on the outside of the gallery, but I always thought that this belonged to the ice cream parlor situated next door. This deserves a big DUH!
Here is a shot of the outside, see what I am talking about… you really can’t miss that.
What’s nice about this gallery is that it features the work of eleven skilled Israeli artists, and I have to give special mention to Hannah Miller; artist extraordinaire. My first hanukkiah was one of hers, hand carried back to New York to grace my home on Hanukkah each year. I also have one of her bird mazuzahs similar to the one seen below.

I love her work so much that I have to show a few more.

Irit Gabrieli – Amitai is another artist who crafts brightly colored, upbeat ceramics.

So the next time you are in Neve Tzedek in Tel Aviv a visit to this gallery is a must. It is easy to find, just around the corner from the Suzanne Dellal Center for Dance.
