Public gardens are powerful, they beautify and pacify. I came upon this water garden & stream outside of the Maccabi Health building on Yigal Alon Street in Tel Aviv. It is situated just outside of the main entrance and graces all who enter this common outdoor space.
Not only is it beautiful, it is thriving in a city environment. Water gardens are adaptable to many different climates. With the right elements they can grow undisturbed for a long, long time. The key element in a healthy water garden is moving water like the stream shown here. If you don’t have the capacity for a stream, a small pond with a moving water fountain will achieve the same effect. Add a few fish and you are on your way to a greener, healthier outdoor space.
